How Can You Support NBS?
At the time of our writing, our beloved NBS school is experiencing the challenging and uncertain time of war. War has been part of life for the last 20 months in the conflicts with Gaza and Lebanon. However, the war with Iran has now moved to new levels with missiles and missile fragments in Nazareth.
Usually at this time, NBS is bustling with the activity of final classes, exams, and finishing the school year strong. This year is different because much of life is on hold during this unprecedented time. Our wonderful teachers are online helping the children navigate these taxing months and helping them support each other. NBS has amazing teachers who love and care well. Please pray for them to have the wisdom and strength to carry this heavy burden. NBS is a life-changing school that loves and ministers to all aspects of the lives of our students.
For FON, our summer flights to Israel have been canceled. We are praying and waiting to see about summer camp status at NBS. We pray things are resolved soon. We are looking ahead to FALL SEJ and Fall Festival. Those events will be a much-needed ministry to the students, faculty, and whole Nazareth community.

Summer Is Almost Here!
WE NEED YOU!
It is almost summer camp time at NBS! July and August are getting closer and closer. We have been praying, planning, and recruiting US teams to be part of the NBS/FON summer camps, which allow us to build on the foundations of faith teaching laid during the school year.
We need your prayer for our teams, our local leaders, the kids and families who attend, and for camps to be BIG in the faith lives of the kids. NBS kids have been under incredible stress over the last year and half. Camp is life changing!
We also need your financial support to provide a $200 scholarship for kids to attend camp. Would you, your family, your SS class or small group, church, children's group, or others you know sponsor a child for camp? We still have 135 kids in need of scholarship. Partial scholarships are also helpful. Prayerfully give as the Lord leads you. You could be the light to impact their summer and transform their lives! Click the button below to to help us provide a safe, fun camp full of faith teaching to as many kids as possible!
Thank you!

Hosanna! To the Son of David!
Hosanna! To the Son of David! "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!" Matthew 21:9
We praise God for each of you and your support of Friends of Nazareth and NBS! NBS has been full of activity and is now out for a much needed spring break. Our prayer is that God refreshes each student and staff member during break.

Strong Start to Spring at NBS
"Be alert, stand firm in faith, be courageous, be strong." 1 Cor. 16:13
It has been a busy start to spring at NBS. The students have been involved in both academic and sports competitions. They have had field trips and in-school projects for spiritual growth, academics, and just for fun. As you can imagine, everyone is looking forward to a little break for Spring in April before returning to school ready for exams and, finally, graduation for the 71st class of NBS in June.
Although times are stressful, Friends of Nazareth is so thankful to God for giving the staff and students the courage to stand strong.

Spread Love and Kindness
1 Corinthians 16:4 "Do everything in love."
"Love what you teach, but love who you teach more." Dr. Brad Johnson
Friends of Nazareth wants to thank each Nazareth Baptist School staff member for loving NBS kids so well. The teachers work hard to teach the students the subjects assigned to them, but also work hard to create strong bonds with their pupils. This is one of the most impactful parts of the legacy of Nazareth Baptist School.

Trips Resume in 2025
VBS, Potter’s Wheel, Spiritual Enrichment Journey to resume in 2025
Friends of Nazareth is so excited to announce that our ministry trips and teams will be traveling to Nazareth this summer. (See our Trips page for more details). Our next SEJ will take place in October. What a great time to travel and beat the rush of 2026. Also, 2025 is a year of Jubilee … join the excitement.

A New Year at NBS
Nazareth Baptist School has begun the new semester! This semester began in mid-January after the Christmas and New Year holidays and continues until the end of June for elementary students and mid-June for the upper grades. The students began immediately preparing for this semester's exams. Pray for each teacher as they help every student do their very best to achieve their academic goals.

GivingTuesday Match!
Tuesday, December 3, 2024 is #GivingTuesday. This is a day to celebrate each and every act of generosity. We hope you will intentionally engage in random acts of kindness, make someone smile, help out a neighbor, or just simply be there for someone else.
We also hope you’ll think about the 1000+ students and staff at the Nazareth Baptist School and help Friends of Nazareth meet their needs. And… here is some great news, every dollar given on December 3rd will be matched! That’s right— doubled!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Not only during the Thanksgiving season but every day of the year, Friends of Nazareth is sincerely grateful to our faithful God for His continued provision and protection for Nazareth Baptist School and its students and staff. Our hearts are full of gratitude for you who faithfully pray, give, and support the work in Israel, especially in these difficult times. As we join you in praying for the peace of Israel and the protection of our friends there, we ask that God richly bless you and your family. Together, we give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good!

Update from Nazareth
FON Friends and Donors, As Executive Director of Friends of Nazareth, it breaks my heart to see the conflict continue to escalate in Israel. This weekend, Israel’s enemies took an even more determined course throughout all northern Israel that extended into Nazareth, the hometown of Jesus and the school we cherish and support, Nazareth Baptist School.

An Update from Nazareth
An Update from Nazareth-
Thank you so much for praying for all of the escalating situations in the Middle East. Israel is now facing war on multiple fronts. We are mindful of the words of the Psalmist, “God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not give way to fear…” (Psalm 46:1-2a)
