An Update from Nazareth

Thank you so much for praying for all of the escalating situations in the Middle East. Israel is now facing war on multiple fronts. We are mindful of the words of the Psalmist, “God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not give way to fear…” (Psalm 46:1-2a)

As you may have heard, the city of Nazareth was hit by rocket fire late Saturday and Sunday. There were no injuries in Nazareth, but there was damage from the missiles and resulting fires. (A young person from the area was killed in a car accident when he became frightened after the alarms sounded). It’s been mostly quiet in the area today. Because there can be no large gatherings, The Nazareth Baptist School will meet on Monday ‘online’. Please ask our Father for wisdom for all of our NBS leaders, teachers, and board members. Ask God to draw many to Himself during this conflict, He alone is the answer.

This is a great time to say thank you again for your gifts toward our safe rooms. They have now been completed to use as shelters, but not yet as classrooms. We do have a substantial shortfall on the resources to complete the project. Will you help us Finish the Task? Please join Friends Of Nazareth in doing three things:

  1. Pray- For peace, protection, a quick and proper resolution

  2. Provide- Would you consider giving a generous gift to help FON/NBS keep our students and staff safe?

  3. Promote- Please share this post and this need far and wide- this is a Kingdom cause and project.

As of today, all of our NBS family is safe and for that we are so thankful…to God be the glory. Again, thank you for your amazing support.
